Donna Hulsey

Donna B. Hulsey is currently a doctoral student at Baylor University focusing on understanding and supporting gifted and 2e individuals across the lifespan. In 2005, motivated by the needs of her own children and others, Ms. Hulsey was Co-Founder and Co- Executive Director of a non-profit organization for gifted education and research in Austin, Texas, that offered summer programs, Saturday programs, parent resources, teacher training, and research opportunities. After serving 12 years as Head of School for a pre-K-12 school for gifted and twice exceptional learners, Ms. Hulsey returned to higher education to formalize and extend her studies in GT. A veteran of several startups and firm believer in entrepreneurship, Ms. Hulsey has enjoyed teaching in several realms, but her favorite challenges have been establishing a program for young inventors and coaching creative problem solving teams.
