Programs/Services

The Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development provides exciting educational opportunities for gifted and talented students in Grades 1–12; professional learning for teachers, counselors, and administrators of gifted students and programs; and support for parents of gifted and talented students. Founded in 1999, the Center has focused on meeting the needs of students for more than 20 years.

The Center’s preeminent program for gifted and talented students is the University for Young People (UYP), a summer enrichment program held each June for gifted and talented students in Grades 1–12. In addition, Super Saturday courses are offered for students in Grades 4–12.

We offer professional learning opportunities for teachers and program administrators. The Center also offers a parent conference in January designed to inform, provide useful resources, and create a supportive network for parents of gifted students.

These programs and services are being held virtually this year.
