Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development
The Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development is committed to transforming potential into excellence through innovative educational opportunities, research, and outreach. We focus on the intellectual, academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted children and adolescents in Texas, and assist those who parent, teach, and otherwise work with them. We aspire to be a leading resource on giftedness, talent development, and creativity that is known regionally, nationally, and internationally.
At Baylor TIP our mission is to identify exceptional talent in STEM and the humanities and provide world-class learning opportunities commensurate with students’ exceptional potential. We aim to provide transformative learning opportunities to pre-collegiate students; identify and recruit diverse students with the ability, interest, and motivation to achieve at exceptional levels; and prepare pre-collegiate students for exceptional achievement by integrating academic excellence and mentorship in a caring environment.
The Center seeks to help parents of gifted and talented students by providing resources, programming, and advocacy information.
The Center offers professional learning opportunities for educators, administrators, and other service providers (e.g., counselors) in gifted education.
We are pleased to have wonderful partnerships with many districts and parent groups. These partnerships allow us to communicate more effectively and obtain feedback from the wider gifted community about the programs and services that are needed. Is your parent group or district a partner? Take a look!
