Students can qualify at any time while they are in grades 4-12.
Students who were previously identified through other national talent search program such as Duke TIP, CTY, or CTD and were eligible to take their courses will be automatically admitted to Baylor TIP by filling out this form and submitting an application fee of $100. For more information, visit our Admissions page.
No. When individual students register to take one or more of the Baylor TIP assessments, parents will indicate how the student qualifies (i.e., top 25% on a standardized test, identified as gifted and talented, or educator/parent recommendation). Parents will provide qualification information on the registration form, but copies of qualifying paperwork do not need to be submitted at this time.
The testing window is open each year from September 1 through June 30. However, to be considered for our 7th grade Spring Recognition Ceremony, students must test by February 28. Baylor TIP Scholars will be notified of their ranking by the end of March each year.
Needs-based scholarships will be available for Baylor TIP programs. Find out more information here.
Contact your district Advanced Academics coordinator or GT coordinator to ask if they are partnering with Baylor TIP to offer the TIP testing on site. They can help you get registered through the district. If not, you can sign up as an individual through this website.
